Literacy
We are continuing to work on recognizing patterns in plants from our book, Plant Patterns. We are continuing to work on our sight words and using them in sentences. We are writing an informational story about dolphins that we will be sharing with you at the conference this week. We have been working on identifying the short "e" sound in simple words also.
Math
We will begin our next unit in math on Tuesday, I am enclosing the parent letter to this blog. We made a quilt using triangles and noticed that it had an ABAB pattern. We are also looking at patterns in our numbers. We worked on counting on from ten and adding 10 and some more to get a teen number. We are also talking about lion weather and lamb weather and what that looks like. I told them they needed to come back on Monday and decide if March came in like a lion or a lamb. Hoping it will go out like a lamb!

Science
We began our last unit in Science about what plants and animals need. We looked and read about plants needing sunlight and water and did a scoot around the room, investigating different plants and how much sunlight and water they each need.
